Looking forward to Baseball Season?  Got questions?

Spring Baseball & Softball Registration Info
Parents and players- We have made the decision to team up with Hillsboro, Maypearl, Itasca, Covington, Venus, Milford, Italy and Whitney for Spring softball/baseball. We will be under the Texas Teenage Baseball Association rules.
ONLINE registration will start January 15th and end February 15th. ONE in person sign up will be on February 6th at the Grandview Community Center. Time TBD.
Registration fees:
$90 for first athlete, $85 for each additional.
They offer a 4U developmental league all the way up to 14U. As always, it depends on if we have enough registration, in each age group, to field a team.
Baseball registration fees will include jersey, pants, socks, belt, and hat.
Softball registration fees will include jersey, pants, socks, belt and visor.
Teams will be drafted the week after registration ends. Practices could start the last week of February. The season should begin first week in April.
Our ultimate goal is to bring our home games back to Grandview, but we have a lot of work ahead of us. We are working hard to put a plan in place to make sure everything is ready by April. If our complex is not ready by the start of the season, home games will be played in Hillsboro.
We know that this change will cause some growing pains but we are hopeful that we can pull together as a community to make it work, whether it be helping get the fields ready, working concessions, or helping get your child and his or her teammates to practices or games.

Elite 8 Qualities of a GYA Baseball Player:

  1. HUSTLE – 100% Maximum Effort (Practices & Games); Always Do Your Best; Leave it All on the Field!

  2. ATTITUDE – Positive attitudes are contagious, but so are negative attitudes.  Must learn to accept and process bad with the good. We will not win every game and you will not hit a home-run at every bat.  Develop a “Short Memory” to overcome challenges quickly and focus on next opportunity/play.

  3. SPORTSMANSHIP – We will be humble during wins; and we will be courteous and remain positive during losses.

  4. TEAMWORK – Work together towards one goal.  Each person must do their part for us to be a great TEAM.  Recognize strengths each player brings to the group. Play for each other; Friendship.

  5. RESPECT – We will treat everyone like we want to be treated.  Coaches; Teammates; Parents; Umpires; Opponents

  6. LEADERSHIP – Use your voice to encourage and motivate the team to follow these principles.  More importantly, use your actions to lead by example.

  7. COACHABLE – Listen to your coaches and learn from your mistakes.  No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. Those willing to listen & learn will improve the fastest.  Don’t let the fear of making a mistake keep you from trying your best.

  8. FUN – Our ultimate goal is to have FUN doing what we love to do.  We all love the game of Baseball and want to make sure we are always using the principles above to be a successful team.
